Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel warns of scammers attempting to trick consumers into downloading counterfeit casino-branded software.
According to a statement on the resort’s Facebook page, the fraud attempts to attract customers to enroll and collect online currencies, bitcoin, and gaming credits.
Photos of the fraudulent software supplied by the casino show offers of $1,500 in bonuses, 150 free spins, and a 300% deposit match as a sign-up bonus.
“The (authentic) Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel app is used by our members to check their comps, offers and promotions,” according to the posting. “That’s it!”
