Dana White of the UFC on the Betting Scandal: “It Definitely Doesn’t Look Good”

Following a strange MMA fight involving sports betting last Saturday, UFC CEO Dana White announced that he has spoken with the FBI.

Important Lessons

It is alleged that Isaac Dulgarian engaged Yadier del Valle in combat.

Although there is currently no proof, White stated that “it doesn’t look good.”
The UFC CEO cautioned fighters against throwing fights while defending the company’s ethics.
In an interview with TMZ on Tuesday, White said that prior to the match between featherweight boxer and betting favourite Isaac Dulgarian and Yadier del Valle, integrity monitoring service IC360 informed him of strange betting activity.

“IC360) contacted us to ask if we knew anything about the strange activity that was occurring during that fight,” White stated. “We didn’t. “What’s going on?” we asked the fighter and his attorney over the phone. Are you hurt? Are you in debt to anyone? Have you been approached by anyone? “Absolutely not,” the child replied. I’m going to murder him.

“The fight proceeds, ending in the first round. We literally called the FBI right away.

An “office full” of FBI officers visited UFC headquarters in Las Vegas on Tuesday, according to White, who claimed to have spoken with FBI director Kash Patel directly.

A suspicious conclusion

Before last Saturday’s tournament, Dulgarian was about a -250 favourite. One-sided money reportedly started to come in on del Valle around 3 p.m. ET, bringing Dulgarian’s odds down to as low as -130 prior to the fight. Additionally, a lot of first-round finish bets were being placed, and several sportsbooks eliminated the fight.

After del Valle got Dulgarian in a rear-naked chokehold 3:41 into the fight, Caesars Sportsbook and William Hill reimbursed losing wagerers. According to White, he went to a back room and phoned the FBI as soon as the fight was over. The UFC also promptly let Dulgarian go.

White declared, “Fight fixing is absolutely insane.” “I’m not implying that this child is at fault. He hasn’t been proven to have done this yet, but I can assure you that it doesn’t look good. It certainly doesn’t look good.
