The first sportsbook located inside an NBA arena, FanDuel Sportsbook at PHX Arena, will cease accepting live wagers on July 24. As part of a venue renovation, the area will be transformed into a FanDuel-branded lounge.
Less than four years after opening on the first day of legalized sports gambling in Arizona, the FanDuel Sportsbook lounge inside PHX Arena will transition to a lounge and stop operating as a sportsbook on July 24.
When it opened in September 2021, the 7,400-square-foot sportsbook—which was touted as the first inside an NBA arena—had five betting windows, 26 kiosks, 40 TVs, an outdoor terrace, a full-service bar, and a buffet.
