Thanks to the launch of new casinos, Illinois casinos brought in $165.8 million in October, a 21.2% year-over-year increase over the $136.8 million earned the previous year.
Hollywood Joliet Casino, which launched a land-based presence in August, saw the largest revenue growth, at 46.3%, from $7.4 million to $10.8 million, according to the most recent data from the Illinois Gaming Board. Revenue increased by double digits at six other casinos, including Walker’s Bluff Casino, which witnessed a 26.6% increase from $2.4 million to $3.1 million.
Rivers Casino recorded the highest revenue of $43.2 million, up 2.5% from $42.1 million in October 2024. With $17.3 million in revenue in October, Wind Creek Casino, which debuted in November 2024, had the second-highest revenue.
With an 8.8% drop in revenue from $7.2 million to $6.5 million, DraftKings at Casino Queen saw the biggest drop. Revenue at Harrah’s Joliet dropped from $9.4 million to $8.8 million.
Slot machine income increased 21.5% from slightly less than $104 million to $126.4 million, while table game revenue increased 20.2% from $32.8 million to $39.4 million statewide.
