In May 2025, Maryland’s casinos generated $176.4 million, a 1.9% increase from the previous year. MGM National Harbour led all venues in monthly earnings, and increased revenue boosted public funding, particularly for education.

In May 2025, the aggregate income from slot machines and table games at Maryland’s six casinos was $176.4 million, the seventh-highest monthly total since the state’s legalization of casino gambling. According to figures supplied by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency, the amount represents a 1.9% rise from May 2024.

With $76.1 million going into public finances, the month’s increases also resulted in increased state payments. Compared to the same time last year, the sum represents an increase of $1.7 million. The Education Trust Fund received $54.9 million of this, an increase of around $1.2 million, or 2.2%, over the previous year.

The state’s horse racing sector, local governments, and programs supporting women-, minority-, and small-owned companies are just a few of the projects that Maryland’s casino gaming money supports in addition to education.

With $75.4 million in sales, MGM National Harbour in Prince George’s County dominated the market, up 4.3% from May 2024. Anne Arundel County’s Live! Casino & Hotel came in second with $63.9 million; however, that amount was 1.8% less than it was in the same month the previous year.
