In May 2025, the aggregate income from slot machines and table games at Maryland’s six casinos was $176.4 million, the seventh-highest monthly total since the state’s legalization of casino gambling. According to figures supplied by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency, the amount represents a 1.9% rise from May 2024.
With $76.1 million going into public finances, the month’s increases also resulted in increased state payments. Compared to the same time last year, the sum represents an increase of $1.7 million. The Education Trust Fund received $54.9 million of this, an increase of around $1.2 million, or 2.2%, over the previous year.

The state’s horse racing sector, local governments, and programs supporting women-, minority-, and small-owned companies are just a few of the projects that Maryland’s casino gaming money supports in addition to education.
With $75.4 million in sales, MGM National Harbour in Prince George’s County dominated the market, up 4.3% from May 2024. Anne Arundel County’s Live! Casino & Hotel came in second with $63.9 million; however, that amount was 1.8% less than it was in the same month the previous year.
