Michigan reported year-over-year growth in both iGaming and online sports betting, with gross revenue from online gambling hitting a record $312.5 million in August.
The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) reported that revenue for the month was 39.5% greater than the same month in 2024. Additionally, it was 9.8% better than July of this year and 3.6% better than the previous monthly record set in May 2025.
Revenue from iGaming exceeded $263.3 million, a 33.9% increase. At $49.3 million, gross online sports betting revenues increased 79.9% year over year. Both commercial and tribal operators in Michigan are included in the data.

At $281.4 million, total adjusted gross receipts (AGR), which includes promotional expenditures, also rose by 45.7%. Sports betting’s AGR increased 109.8% to $34.2 million, while iGaming’s increased 39.8% to $247.2 million.
The total amount spent on sports betting for the month was $338.9 million, a 21% increase over August 2024. This resulted in a hold of 14.55% based on gross revenue and 10.09% AGR.
Leading iGaming companies are FanDuel and MotorCity.
In terms of operators, MotorCity and FanDuel took the top spot in the Michigan iGaming industry. The cooperation brought in $66.9 million AGR and $71.1 million in gross revenue.
After leading in July, MGM and BetMGM fell to second place with gross revenue and AGR of $66.6 million and $62.6 million, respectively. With $41.1 million and $38.6 million, respectively, DraftKings and the Bay Mills Indian Community came in third.
With $17.8 million in gross receipts and an annual percentage growth of $13.5 million, FanDuel and MotorCity maintained their lead in sports betting. Based on gross receipts, this amounted to a 16.5% hold with a handle of $107.7 million.
