Most Americans see gambling favourably as participation hits record high, according to an AGA research.

According to new data from the American Gaming Association (AGA), a record percentage of Americans engaged in gambling during the previous year, with large majorities seeing the pastime as both socially acceptable and economically advantageous.

According to the American Attitudes Toward Gaming 2025 study, the highest percentage ever reported was 57% of American adults who have gambled in the previous 12 months. Twenty-one percent wagered on sports, and about thirty percent wagered at a real casino.

Nine out of ten Americans believe that casino gambling is acceptable for themselves or others, and sixty-two percent feel it personally acceptable, indicating that public approval of gambling has also reached all-time highs. 134 million adults (53%) visited a casino for entertainment or gaming, setting a record.

According to AGA research, more Americans than ever are enjoying gaming-related entertainment, and this exposure is increasing awareness of the industry’s beneficial social and economic effects.

When compared to other forms of entertainment, 90% of casino patrons stated it delivers good value for money, and nearly 89% indicated that casino gambling is innovative. According to the association, this notion still draws younger casino patrons, whose average age is still lower than it was before the pandemic.

According to the report, there is broad consensus that gaming boosts the economy. The sector has a favourable national influence, according to 77% of Americans, and a sizable majority attributed the growth in tourism, employment, and local investment to casinos.
