Omaha Sportsbooks and Casinos Anticipating Big Business When Tigers Fans Gather for College World Series

Everyone in Omaha wants to be declared a champion, and if you’re travelling to support LSU baseball, you can join in the fun!

Sports betting is permitted in Nebraska, but only at casino-based sportsbooks. That means if you’re going to Omaha to watch the Tigers in the College World Series and want to bet, you’ll have to do so in-person.

One of the casinos, the Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs, is located just down the road from the CWS venue at Charles Schwab Field on the Nebraska-Iowa line.

Pete Graziano, Vice President of Marketing at Ameristar, says workers at the ESPN Bet sportsbook are ready for a significant increase in business this week.

“During this two-week period, we have a lot of programming that is intended for people to walk in and participate, have a good time, and possibly win some money,” Graziano told the crowd.

The sportsbook’s manager, David Eicchorst, stated that the book would accept more college baseball wagers in the next week and a half than it has all season.

According to Eichhorst, “We will see some large numbers.” “Out of the ordinary for sure.”
