A foreign online gaming corporation has purchased a Las Vegas-based website and ticket sales platform in an effort to gain a stronger presence in Nevada.
Spotlight. Vegas, which sells tickets and marketing Las Vegas events, performances, and experiences, has been bought by Gambling.com Group Ltd., based in Saint Helier, Jersey, according to a press announcement reporting second-quarter earnings.
The acquisition’s details, including the price, were not released.
Gambling.com Group, which also owns RotoWire, BonusFinder, Freebets.com, OddsJam, and OpticOdds, offers online casinos in North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Europe. Online gambling is not permitted in Nevada, but the acquisition of Spotlight. Vegas allows the corporation to sell reduced show tickets and hotel rooms in southern Nevada.

Charles Gillespie, CEO and co-founder of the Gambling.com Group, announced the acquisition of Spotlight. Vegas would ultimately help the company’s goal of increasing cash flow.
“In order to boost the monetization of our valuable and growing consumer audience with additional products and services, we continue to deliver on our strategy of developing deeper relationships with the end users of all of our websites,” Gillespie stated in a press release. Similarly, by offering our operator partners more than just marketing services, we are strengthening our bonds with them. The strategic acquisition of Spotlight.Vegas gives us yet another scalable technology platform that enhances our current portfolio and brings us one step closer to our objective of $100 million in adjusted cash flow as we continue to invest to increase our presence in the gambling and entertainment ecosystem.
