Tribes in California felt in control of the postponement of sports betting after the 2022 loss. However, the growth of DFS and an increase in illegal operations are forcing leaders to reevaluate speeding up the legalization process.

At an SBC Americas panel, Jason Ramos, the chairman of the Blue Lake Rancheria Tribal, stated, “There was a conversation that we weren’t going to talk about sports wagering until ’28 or ’30.” “I think we need to get together and really have that conversation now that some of the other players are already operating illegally in the state.”
Of the three, parlay-style daily fantasy sports competitions have been around the longest. Players may construct a DFS entry using a variety of products, just like they would with a prop parlay on a sportsbook.
