“So Far, So Good,” says Jan Zimmerman of the Gaming Commission on Missouri’s first day of legal sports betting.

How did Missouri’s first day of legalized sports betting go?

Missouri Gaming Commission Chairwoman Jan Zimmerman told Missourinet that things have been pretty quiet on her end.

“I’m assuming that if something had gone terribly wrong, I probably would have heard that,” said Zimmerman. “You know, we won’t have any numbers for quite a while, but if I were a sports wager, I probably would know, you know, how it had worked, If I had placed a bet. But so far, so good, I think.”

Zimmerman stated that employees of the Missourinet Gaming Commission are monitoring issues related to sports betting.

Zimmerman stated, “Obviously, revenue, you know, numbers of wagers placed.” “Operators won’t have to report to us until the middle of January. Naturally, we will then release those figures to the public.
