Looking for somewhere to eat at night in Taunton? The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe’s First Light Welcome Centre, which has 50 slot machines, will be open until midnight on select days beginning June 9, 2025.
According to a written statement from the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe, the Welcome Centre will now be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays.
The Welcome Centre, located at 1 O’Connell Way in Taunton, was formerly defined in a legal agreement between the tribe and the city as a temporary structure that would serve as a forerunner to a bigger casino development. The welcome centre now has 50 slot machines.

Originally, the Welcome Centre was open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The hours were then extended to Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The hours were expanded again in April to seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Beginning June 9, the Welcome Centre will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.
