Commercial gaming revenue in the United States reached $71.92 billion in 2024, with several states reporting double-digit increases and strong growth in online gaming.
The commercial gaming business continues to grow, according to data provided by the American Gaming Association (AGA). Total income from land-based casino games, sports betting, and iGaming increased 7.5 percent over 2023, marking the fourth consecutive year of record performance.

The revenue for 2024 is a record-breaking USD 71.92 billion, marking the fourth consecutive year of exceptional growth. This increase is due to a number of causes, including the development of legal gaming alternatives, technical improvements, and the increased acceptability of gaming as a popular form of entertainment.

Traditional casino games, which included slot machines, table games, and retail sports betting, produced USD 50.32 billion, or 70% of total income. Meanwhile, internet gaming, which includes online sports betting and iGaming, generated USD 21.54 billion, or 30% of total income.
Arizona grew by 27%, Connecticut by 31.3%, Illinois by 15.8%, Kentucky by 148%, Maine by 14.9%, Michigan by 17.1%, Oregon by 24.5%, Tennessee by 24.8%, Virginia by 27.1%, and Wyoming by 31.8%.
Montana saw the greatest gaming income drop, at 15.6%, followed by New Mexico at 3.5%. Missouri dropped 2.1%, while Mississippi decreased 2%. Iowa plummeted 1.7%, New Hampshire dipped 1.5%, and Ohio dropped 0.9%.
